What is photosynthesis?

This is the process in which plants grow.

Step by Step Process

1)Chlorophyll absorbs the sun's energy.

2)It is this engergy that is used to split water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen.

3)Oxygen is released from the leaves into the atmosphere.

4)Hydrogen and carbon dioxide are used to form glucose or food for plants.

Why is photosynthesis important?

Photosynthesis is important because it provides food and oxygen.
